From November 9th to November 10th, 2019, the WSS Environmental and Gas Sensing Detection Technology Application Forum of the Second World Sensor Conference was held in Zhengzhou Convention and Exhibition Center in Henan. China University of Petroleum (East China) Technology Center for Safety, Environmental Protection and Energy Conservation and the Chemical Process Safety Center of the American Society of Chemical Engineers-China Branch (CCPS-CS), jointly organized by the Chinese Society of Instrumentation, the International Association of Process Automation Users, and the Zhengzhou Municipal People’s Government This forum. Professor Zhao Dongfeng, director of the Center for Safety, Environmental Protection and Energy Conservation Technology and Director of the Chemical Process Safety Center-China Branch of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, delivered a speech and made an important speech. The center teacher Fenglei Han served as the moderator of the forum. More than 200 industry representatives from the government's environmental protection system, safety supervision system, petrochemical industry, coal chemical industry, fine chemical industry, and pharmaceuticals participated in this forum.
Professor Zhao Dongfeng’s speech analyzed the current domestic safety and environmental protection situation, pointed out the current safety and environmental protection issues facing petrochemical production, and highlighted the importance of the theme of this conference. He said that sensors are an important means of environmental detection and safety monitoring, especially for gas leak detection and monitoring of industrial enterprises such as petroleum and chemical industries. It is an important work related to environmental protection and safety of life and property. This forum has built a very good communication platform for all kinds of researchers who are committed to researching gas detection methods and control methods, and developing various gas detection and analysis instruments. He also introduced the important work carried out by the organization at home and abroad on behalf of the CCPS China branch, especially the two chemical process safety conferences held in the United States and China each year. He also welcomed all the guests attending the conference enthusiastically.
Next, the speakers gave wonderful reports on topics such as gas sensing technology, hazardous chemical enterprise risk early warning sensing technology, gas component online monitoring technology, and water environment monitoring technology. The content of the report was substantial and thought-provoking. The audience enthusiastically asked questions, and bursts of applause broke out from time to time. Finally, the host of the forum, Mr. Fenglei Han, made a concluding speech. The conference was closed in an atmosphere of reluctance, and the representatives all agreed to see you next time.
The World Sensors Summit (WSS) was initiated and organized by the Chinese Society of Instrumentation, aiming to promote the development of politics, industry, academia, research, use, gold, and media by exchanging the latest achievements in global sensor technology, industry, and application. Cooperation, conduct academic exchanges, industrial promotion and product technology display, create a strategic highland of sensor industry development and a convergent depression of sensor scientific research, talents, logistics, information and manufacturing, and create a top event in the global sensor field. It has been held twice so far. China Instrumentation Society is the highest academic organization in the field of instrumentation and measurement control in my country. It is the main academic force to promote instrumentation and intelligent manufacturing, and an important academic force for the development of emerging technologies such as the Internet of Things and smart cities.
