Forbidden youth, pay tribute to the nuclear elders
—— Comrade Wei Shijie gave us a party class

In order to further enhance the concept of party spirit of party members, and to learn the spirit of hard work, self-improvement, and wholehearted service for the people of the revolutionary predecessors, on the afternoon of August 15th, the party branch of Qingdao Ousaisi Environmental and Safety Technology Co., Ltd. joined hands with Shandong High-speed Urban Construction Investment Co., Ltd. The Party branch and the Party branch of Shandong Expressway Changhe Property Service Co., Ltd. held a "Half-life for the country, half-life for home" theme party class in Qingdao Ossy No. 1 conference room. For this theme party class, Mr. Wei Shijie, a well-known expert in nuclear weapons research in my country, was invited to be the keynote speaker.

Mr. Wei Lao was born in Jimo, Shandong in 1941. He graduated from the Department of Physics of Shandong University in 1964 and was appointed by the state to go to Qinghai to develop two bombs and one satellite with scientists such as Qian Sanqiang, Deng Jiaxian, and Yu Min. He has been incognito on the Gobi desert for more than 20 years, dedicated all his youth to our country’s nuclear weapons industry, and has won 17 awards from the Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense. In his spare time, Mr. Wei has written a large number of popular science articles, and authored more than ten books such as "A Little Romance of Atoms" and novels "Eastern Mushroom Cloud", "Incognito People" and "Forbidden Youth". The cruelty of fate is that it did not promise to give this old scientist a retirement life with descendants and grandchildren. Mr. Wei needs to take care of three serious illnesses: a son with congenital intellectual disability, a daughter with schizophrenia, and My wife.

In this party class, Mr. Wei Lao talked about his knowledge and insights on physics and nuclear weapons, combined with his own work and hard life, and explained to us what it means to "live and die in a country. How can we avoid misfortune? "Follow it", telling us in plain language, "We must love the happy life, but also love the miserable life." Mr. Wei Lao’s spirit of not being afraid of sacrifice and selfless dedication for our country’s nuclear cause moved us. His dedication to family and his optimism and strength in the suffering of life moved us even more. Participating party members stood up to pay tribute to Mr. Wei. Another warm applause conveyed the respect and admiration for Mr. Wei. During the party class, the atmosphere became active. Party members expressed their feelings and raised their own questions. Mr. Wei answered one by one and interacted closely with an “atomic fan” kid on the scene. Finally, Mr. Wei Lao put forward requirements to all party branches and all party members and comrades, encouraging everyone: love the motherland, selfless dedication, self-reliance, hard work, vigorous coordination, and bravely climb the peak.

82 years ago today, the brutal Japanese army launched a large-scale air raid on the then Chinese capital Nanjing. Also on August 15, 1945, Japan announced its unconditional surrender, marking the final victory of the world anti-fascist war. On a special day such as August 15, 2019, this unique party class held by the three party branches together will become the driving force for the majority of party members and comrades to move forward and give everyone the confidence to face the hardships and trials in life. And courage, as Mr. Wei told us: Shake hands with the tribulations of life, be the ferryman of your life, broaden the width and height of your life, and at the same time improve the resilience and value of your life!
