The report on the progress of the postgraduate thesis of the Sijifeng research group was successfully held
 
       On the morning of January 12, 2020, Sijifeng's 2017 graduate thesis progress report was successfully held at East corridor 102 and 103. Professor Dongfeng Zhao, Associate Professor Lu Shuai, Associate Professor Liu Yi, Associate Professor Li Shi, Associate Professor Zhang Qingdong, Associate Professor Zhang Yunbo, Associate Professor Liu Chunshuang, etc. and some experts from the Center for Safety, Environmental Protection and Energy Conservation Technology participated in the report.     

The 2017 graduate students mainly report on the workload, innovation, theoretical basis, main research content of the thesis, current problems and plans for the next phase. The teachers participating in the conference pointed out the structure and thesis of the 2017 graduate students. Some questions on the content, and give guidance and suggestions.

       The subject of environmental graduate students covers the VOCs monitoring and treatment methods of petrochemical companies, the effectiveness of heavy-polluting weather emission reduction measures, the systematic construction of pollutant discharge permit operation information, post-evaluation, law enforcement and implementation reports, and the distribution characteristics of soil pollution in petrochemical industry sites. And remediation, catalyst catalytic performance and hazard, research on the mechanism of denitrification and ammonia oxidation, and research on malodorous pollution disturbance and mitigation measures.

       The topics of safety and chemical engineering graduate students cover the risk acceptance standards of urban refineries, the safety standardization of hazardous chemical laboratories, the risk assessment and control measures of typical accidents in chemical equipment, the explosion mechanism of chemical equipment systems, the thermal hazards of substances. Research directions for safety instrumented systems, failure databases of petrochemical enterprises, etc.

        Professor Dongfeng Zhao, the teachers of the research group and experts from the center commented on the progress of the graduate students' thesis of the research group, affirmed the results of the research of the graduate students, and proposed the workload, theoretical basis, and innovative points of the follow-up research on the thesis. Guidance, hope that graduate students can make full use of their time, consult and discuss with the instructor, and continuously improve the thesis.

       The purpose of this progress report is to help the 2017 graduate students better complete their own projects, and at the same time provide an opportunity for the 2018 graduate students of the research group to further understand their own projects and clarify the direction of their efforts in the next phase.In this report, not only did the graduate students of the 2017 and 2018 grades have gained something, but the 2019 graduate students also have a more detailed understanding of the main research directions of the research group at this stage, which will help them to more targeted learning and project participation in the future.
