The 2nd China-Korea Chemical Safety Graduate Symposium was successfully held
 
On January 16, 2019, Professor IL Moon from Yonsei University in South Korea led a delegation to the school for an exchange visit. On the morning of the 16th, the second China-Korea Chemical Safety Postgraduate Symposium was successfully held at Engineering A 121. The visiting group of Yonsei University in South Korea, related teachers and graduate students of the research group participated in the seminar.

Associate Professor Liu Yi extended a warm welcome to Professor Moon's visit and introduced the history of the School of Chemical Engineering, the scale of the school, scientific achievements, and the laboratory. Professor Moon fully appreciated the achievements of our school's chemical safety discipline construction and talent training, and expressed his willingness to make active efforts to deepen the friendship between the two parties and promote the cooperation in teaching and scientific research between the two parties.

The graduate students of the two universities conducted friendly and enthusiastic academic exchanges. 13 Chinese and Korean graduate students gave academic reports on the heat transfer of the trailing edge of turbine blades, the propagation characteristics of gas explosion shock waves, defect detection using artificial intelligence, selective gas adsorption, The heat transfer characteristics of spray cooling, the calculation of VOCs leakage and the simulation of consequences, the process design and optimization of small-scale natural gas liquefaction and natural gas condensate recovery, the method of determining the safety protection distance of urban oil refineries, the three-dimensional simulation of tilting-pad radial sliding bearings, VOCs emission control during oil storage, moving bed process improvement simulation, human operation analysis of hot work, wind turbine aerodynamic performance and many other aspects.

On the afternoon of the 16th, accompanied by teachers and graduate students of our school, Professor Moon and his entourage visited our school's petroleum industry training center and expressed their appreciation for our school's achievements in the petroleum field. Through this Sino-Korea postgraduate seminar on chemical safety, the friendship between the teachers and students of the two universities has been enhanced, the academic exchanges between the two universities have been strengthened, and the foundation for the deepening and expansion of academic exchanges, teaching and scientific research cooperation between the two universities has been laid.
