The mid-term inspection of the 2018 graduate thesis of the Sijifeng research group was successfully held
 
        On September 5, 2020, the mid-term inspection report of the 2018 graduate thesis of the Sijifeng research group was successfully held in A119 and A121 of Engineering Department of China University of Petroleum (East China). Professor Dongfeng Zhao, all teachers of the research group and some experts from the Safety, Environmental Protection and Energy Conservation Technology Center attended the meeting. All graduate students participated in the defense activity through a combination of online and offline methods.

       The 2018 postgraduates were grouped in three directions: safety, chemical engineering, and environment, and conducted a mid-term inspection report on the thesis. The students participating in the mid-term inspection gave a detailed report on the background and significance of the thesis research, technical route, research progress, research content, current problems, and next steps.Afterwards, the participating teachers and experts provided comprehensive guidance on the feasibility and existing problems of the thesis research through the in-depth and simple questions, and emphasized the innovative points of the thesis, the practicality of the paper results, and the outstanding research content.

       The topics of safety postgraduates cover dynamic risk management and control of chemical parks, collaborative emergency rescue in chemical parks, risk assessment systems of hydrogen refueling stations, safety distances of hydrogen refueling stations, risk management and control of hazardous chemical laboratories, safety risk levels of chemical companies, and dynamics of liquid hydrocarbon spherical tanks Risk, CBAN thermal hazard and other research directions.

      The subjects of environmental graduate students cover environmental air quality compliance planning, detection of characteristic pollutants in oil and gas fields, low-temperature preparation of sludge-based activated carbon, bio-carbon preparation, low-temperature plasma synergistic photocatalyst degradation of toluene, water evaluation of refining and chemical enterprises, and power swing adsorption treatment indoor Research directions such as VOC.

       The paper mid-term inspection report is a summary of the preliminary work of graduate students and a guide for the next step. Through the discussion and guidance of the team teachers and experts from the center, graduate students can more clearly understand the problems and perfect methods of the thesis, find new research breakthroughs and clarify the next step of the thesis writing, and complete their own thesis with higher quality and efficiency.At the same time, through participating in the mid-term inspection report of the graduate thesis, the 2019 graduate students have a clearer understanding of the subject's direction, and can prepare for the topic more specifically, providing good guidance for the smooth topic of the thesis. So far, this report has ended successfully.
