China University of Petroleum (East China) Technology Center for Safety, Environmental Protection and Energy Conservation (American Institute of Chemical Engineers Chemical Process Safety Center-China Branch) and China Chemical Safety Association continue to jointly hold the China branch of the Global Process Safety Conference. The meeting was divided into two stages. In the first stage, the director of the center (CCPS-CS director) Professor Zhao Dongfeng served as the chairperson and Meng Yifei served as the vice chairperson. The second phase was chaired by Dr. Zhaodong Lu, a senior process safety technology expert of Wanhua Group, and Fenglei Han, a teacher from the center, served as the vice chair. China University of Petroleum (East China), China Chemical Safety Association, Taiwan Yunlin University of Science and Technology, China National Petroleum Corporation, China Petrochemical Corporation, Yantai Wanhua Group, Yonsei University, Dow, Texas A&M University, etc. Nearly 200 domestic and foreign expert representatives from the unit attended and participated in this meeting.

The report "How to continuously improve the safety performance of chemical industry in China" by Vice President Jiu Jiangbo of Qingdao Ousaisi Environmental and Safety Technology Co., Ltd., from the accidents of domestic chemical companies in recent years Based on statistics, the difficulties and problems in the safety performance of domestic chemical companies were classified and counted. It was pointed out that it was personnel management, accident management, potential hazard management and system safety management. In this regard, it was proposed that the concept of safety management should be rebuilt from risk. Measures such as safety management, accident investigation, and overall system management.

Through the form of the report, the experts have fully communicated, exchanged and shared with the global chemical safety counterparts, and also demonstrated the relevant achievements and technical strength of China's chemical process safety. The successful holding of this sub-venue meeting further enhanced the center's reputation in the field of international chemical safety and environmental protection, increased the center's influence in the domestic chemical process safety management industry, and injected a strong impetus into the center's continuous development and growth.
Taking advantage of the opportunity of this conference, four teachers from the center, Zhao Dongfeng, Meng Yifei, Han Fenglei, and Jiu Jiangbo participated in the hydrogen energy safety work kick-off meeting and seminar organized by the AIChE Hydrogen Energy Safety Center, and discussed the development of hydrogen energy safety with relevant international industry experts Exchanges with challenges and preliminary connections were established, laying a good foundation for the center to comply with the national hydrogen energy development strategy and carry out hydrogen energy safety application technology research.
