On the morning of July 22, 2021, Mr. Pu Jianwu, deputy General Manager of The Safety Production Management Center of Wanhua Chemical Group Co., LTD., was invited to our school to deliver a special report on "Process Safety Management (PSM) Practice Sharing" for the students of the fifth Chemical Safety Compound Talents Senior Training Class. Jiu Jiangbo, deputy director of Safety, Environmental protection and Energy Saving Technology Center of China University of Petroleum (East China) presided over the report.

Expert lecture by Pu Jianwu
Pu jianwu elaborated the safety concept and safety management system of Wanhua Chemical based on its establishment process. On the basis of production practice, accident case analysis, combined with the experience and concept of safety management, this paper introduces how to deal with safety accidents and solve safety management loopholes in Wanhua Chemical, and finally introduces four cornerstones and 20 elements of process safety management system. Pujianwu pointed out that the correct understanding of process safety management and effective implementation is a complex and arduous task, each enterprise should have a safety management system or responsibility care system suitable for the enterprise, at the same time, it needs the joint efforts of the responsible personnel of various professions and positions, in order to effectively promote the implementation of the management system.
