In order to promote students to fully understand the latest chemical safety related standards and regulations, and to effectively improve the quality of chemical safety compound talent training, on March 12, 2019, Dong Jijun, the leader of the national standard management group of the "Code for Fire Protection Design of Petrochemical Enterprises", and He Longhui, the main editor of the standard, received Invited to give a special lecture titled "GB50160 "Code for Fire Protection Design of Petrochemical Enterprises" Partial Revision and Interpretation" for the second advanced training class for chemical safety compound talents.

       Dong Jijun introduced the necessity of partial revision of GB50160 "Code for Fire Protection Design of Petrochemical Enterprises". He elaborated on the key revisions from three aspects: inter-plant pipelines, petrochemical enterprise construction parks, and part of the content to be improved. The requirements for large-scale construction, the requirements for park construction, and the revision clauses for human and social and public environmental protection requirements are respectively analyzed, and the preparation process of partial revision of the standard is explained.Dong Jijun put forward some ideas and problems encountered in the process of standard revision, and proposed solutions for each problem, discussed key clauses, and emphasized the importance of functional zoning and fire separation distances.
        He Longhui gave a specific explanation on the revised points of the storage and transportation part of GB50160 "Code for Fire Protection Design of Petrochemical Enterprises", and introduced the main terms of storage and transportation facilities from two aspects: terminology and clauses.It also analyzed and explained the pressure relief discharge, flare system, and inter-plant pipeline.       At the end of the lecture, the students of the advanced research class had a lively and in-depth discussion with experts on the setting of shut-off valves, the nitrogen sealing setting of the inner floating roof tank, and the setting of flexible pipe connections. The interpretation of the standards deepened the students' understanding of the standards and enhanced the students' ability to use the standards flexibly.
