On March 13, 2019, Lu Nianming, the vice chairman and secretary-general of the China Chemical Safety Association, was invited to give the second advanced seminar on chemical safety compound talents titled "Safety Production Situation of Hazardous Chemicals and Safety Supervision in 2019 Lectures on “Key Work”. Lu Nianming introduced the main characteristics of the development of my country’s chemical industry based on years of research experience in safe production of hazardous chemicals, and from the establishment of safety production regulations and standards for hazardous chemicals, the level of intrinsic safety of chemical (hazardous chemicals) companies, the implementation of corporate responsibilities, In terms of chemical safety personnel training, accident investigation and accountability, etc., the positive progress made in chemical safety production work was explained.Lu Nianming analyzed the main problems faced by chemical safety production, and pointed out that the situation of chemical safety production at the emergence stage is still severe, the safety foundation of the enterprise is still weak, the safety regulations and standards system of hazardous chemicals need to be improved, and the safety supervision mechanism system of hazardous chemicals needs to be improved. The role of science and technology in supporting the safety of hazardous chemicals has not been fully improved, and domestic chemical safety management is still in its infancy.Finally, Lu Nianming briefly introduced the basic ideas for the key work of hazardous chemical safety in 2019 and how to effectively carry out chemical process safety management.

As a platform to promote the cultivation of high-quality and high-skilled chemical safety talents in enterprises, Lu Nianming highly affirmed the training mode of the advanced training class for chemical safety compound talents, and proposed that the students of the training class should study courses, write and publish papers, and integrate theory with practice.

Organize domestic and foreign experts to study and actively promote the application of regional safety status diagnostic assessment technology, quantitative assessment technology of safety production level, chemical process safety management technology, HAZOP\LOPA\SIL technology, etc. in enterprises. In January 2018, he was awarded the title of "Influential Person in China's Petroleum and Chemical Industry in 2017".
